You haven't missed anything. Historically, Bingo has always had 25 squares. A couple years ago, I decided to add some mystery bonus squares for fun. Given that our book bingo is only a part of the whole, I never gave any thought to the fact it didn't equal 52. Over the past few years, with the rise of many 52 book challenges and specific lists, our 52 Books Bingo with the mystery bonus squares has stirred a little bit of confusion. Our 52 books is a bit more casual and I guess you can say a bit unorthodox, like me.
I love this, but what does 14 things, Icebound, Borderline, Route 66, and all the world's a stage mean? I mean, I know they are open to interpretation, but I am not sure they could mean. Thank you in advance for clarifying!
They are bonus squares and are indeed open to interpretation. However icebound could be a story that is set in the Antarctica or Alaska or someplace in which the characters are icebound or snow bound. Our read a book with icebound in the title. For instance James Rollins Ice Hunt or Nora Robert's Northern Lights. 14 things is for our 14th year doing 52 books. So could read a book with 14 in the title. All the World's a Stage could be Shakespeare or about characters who work on a stage or a stage play. For instance, Phantom of the Opera. Route 66 could be a story set in which the story takes place on Route 66 or is about Route 66. All can be fiction or nonfiction. Hope this helps.
I'm only counting 49 spaces. What have I missed?
