I should get to about 70 books this year, so I had quite a successful run! I'm looking forward to participating in 2015 and reading everyone's wonderful reviews!
Welcome back! Don't give up. Just keep swimming and see how far you get. Not everyone gets to 52 or some go further. Doesn't matter. Enjoy the journey.
My name is Joseph McBee. I thoroughly enjoy Mental Multivitamin's blog and noticed her recommendation for this challenge. It sounds great and I am looking forward to participating.
I've been looking for blogging inspiration to get me back on the horse, while also desperately needing a kick up the bum to start reading properly again, so this is perfect!
So I'm a few days behind in this, but actually have already started. My goal is 52 NEW books, and I don't really have a "to read" list yet, but have started off with Brave New World. Hopefully this week I can come up with another couple to add to the list!
This seems like a great challenge! I'm really excited to take this on. I've already finished a book for this first week, too. Hopefully, this will be a great reading year for me!
Yeah! be sure to link up in the new bw 8 thread. I can't get into your blog as it is listed as private. You'll need to adjust your settings for visitors.
Hello. I didn't expect to end up here and only heard of the challenge last week. But here I am and I'm doing it. It's August of course - so my personal challenge is *roughly* a book a week until Christmas after which I can take stock. Free time is in VERY short supply, with two young kids, a full time job and an allotment, but...I dunno...I'm doing it anyway. Timing isn't my strongest skill I must admit. In any case I'm excited. I would like to post mini-reviews too as time permits as I'm near the end of a door stopper that I'm like to say a little about - it wasn't entirely clear to me how I do that if anyone can help? Kind Regards.
Welcome and glad you decided to join in, no matter how late in the year. Gives you a chance to gear up for the new year. If you don't have a blog, you can post mini reviews on the weekly posts. If you have looked through the posts, you'll see that each week on Sunday, I put up a new post with a mr linky for folks to link to reviews. And if they don't have a blog, then they post comments instead. All you have to remember is to post on the most current week. Click HOME in the link bar at the top of the site and scroll down past the welcome post to find the current weekly post. Happy reading!
Hi Robin. Many thanks for your welcome and for clarifying the procedure. If time permits I may set up a blog for such reviews as I'm able to do; if I don't is it permissible to link to, say, a review posted to Goodreads?
