Week one and two book Review Posts

 Book Reviews

Link for Week one and Week Two

Note:  Since we have 70+ participants, will start a weekly Mr. Linky for book reviews with the Weekly Book post.  Otherwise this one post will be humongous after a bit. So no matter what book you are reading during the week, you'll link to it on the most current post.  For now, continue to link to your reviews on this post for week one and week two.

I'll be putting the link for book review posts in the sidebar under Challenge Links so it may be found easily.

Please link to your specific book review post and not your general blog link.  In the Your Name field, type in your name and the name of the book in parenthesis.  In the Your URL field leave a link to your specific post.

  1. Is there a certain day of the week you are aiming for completion of each book? Doesn't matter?

  2. Wondering the same thing here. Does Sunday equal the end of week one or would that be next Friday?

I still have some pages to go before I finish book one.

  3. Our book week will run from Sunday to Saturday with new book week Starting on Sunday. For the first week, we get the bonus of a couple extra days. It will be simpler for me to do rather than going from Friday to Friday.

  4. Ok, so we'll want to post our reviews by Saturday?

  5. OK, I did my first one. I signed up a few days ago, but the Mr. Linky wasn't up yet, maybe that's why my blog isn't on the sidebar? I'm Howling Frog Books. This is going to be fun!

  6. Thanks for hosting! It's more fun to share something like this than to do it all by oneself (which is what I did last time).

  7. Hi!
I thought we were starting on the 1st. So my book review for The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society doesn't actually count. Was wondering if you could delete that. I will be putting in Mistress of the Art of Death - Ariana Franklin as my first week book. Thanks lots.

  8. Sherrie,

We did start on the first. The first week is running from Friday the 1st through Saturday the 9th. Much easy to keep track from Sunday onward, rather than Friday to Friday. Your first book counts.

  9. It feels weird that my first book is a non-fiction weight loss book! I read and review books already, so when I read one and review it that week, I will use it as my 52 books in 52 weeks post. On my off weeks, I am hoping this inspires to me to read the stack of for pleasure books I never seem to get to!

  10. Like Lori, I posted a link for a review book. Sometimes I will review a book which I received to review, while other times I will post another book which I have just wanted to read. :) This week I also read the book which Lori posted a review for, but I thought linking something different would be more fun for everyone. :)

  12. Robin, I'm hoping the week-by-week is just a suggested way to keep us on track. Depending on the length of the book and various time constraints, I'm expecting that some weeks I might finish more than one, while other weeks it might be challenging to finish one book. As long as I ultimately get to 52 within the year, is this still in the spirit of your challenge? Just wondering...

  13. I finished my first book tonight. I'll blog about it tomorrow.

  14. I just wrote my first review...and I am halfway through my second book!

  15. Keith - It's the spirit of the thing. I emailed you.

Lori and Michelle - same goes for me. And what ever review you want to link to is fine by me.

Good going ya'll. I'm thinking of changing the book review link to links to each months reviews. With so many linking will probably be easier after a while, rather than one long huge list. Or would you prefer to see links to book 1, book 2 in each weeks post. Think it over.

  16. I finished my first book and am getting ready to post my thoughts. Even though we seem to inhale books at our house, it was very difficult to find the time to read this week - probably the business of the new year. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading!

  17. This is the second book I read. The first was kinda meh and I didn't have much to say about it.

  18. Such a dunce, I was waiting for the new Mr. Linky so I didn't post... sorry about the three in a row I've been sitting on my hands and didn't bother to READ this post. How ironic.

  19. Sorry about the double linky! I put the link to your blog instead of mine in the first one. Clearly your readers don't need the link to this blog!

  20. Book 2 is done! My Review for "The March" by E. L. Doctorow is up on my blog. I've also signed up for a couple of classes, and added some of the books I need to read for the class to my potential reading list. Please feel free to come over and comment on anything you like! Click the link above, or follow here:

    Thanks!

  21. Robin, however you want to do things is fine by me, but I love being able to put the titles after the names. That way I can easily spot titles which interest me. :)

Somehow I only managed to finish and review one book this week, though I have 3 more going . . . ;)

  22. I just reviewed my week 2 book--A Proper education for Girls. Sorry it took so long!
