This was my second selection for the 52 week challenge, chosen because it was a Christmas gift from my daughter last year and it's been sitting on my shelf just waiting for me to dive in and crack it open. I thought it was an amazing story - a tale of two boys and their lives growing up in modern day Afghanistan - it opened my eyes to a part of the world an a way of life I am not too familiar with. I will definitely put his second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns, on my ever growing TBR list.
Sounds like you really liked it. I'm still on the fence with this one. Will have to check it out some more.
